BREAKING Sweden Convicts Salwan Najem for His Assassinated Friend Momikas Criticism of IslamProof Sharia Now Rules Sweden

Salwan Najem lives in constant fear, marked for death just like his friend, yet Sweden—having already failed to protect Momika—now abandons him to the same fate without a second thought.

Sweden has once again shown its utter contempt for free speech, justice, and the principles of a free society. The Stockholm District Court has now sentenced Salwan Najem, not for his own actions, but for the words of his murdered friend, Salwan Momika—a man gunned down in what can only be described as a Sharia-style assassination.

Salwan Najem has been convicted not because he personally insulted the Islamic prophet Muhammad but because he didn’t distance himself from statements Momika made during their Quran-burning protests in 2023. Think about that: Najem’s “crime” is not disavowing his friend’s words. Even Sweden’s own legal experts have admitted that the court “lumped together” Momika’s words with Najem’s—punishing him for things he never even said.

This is the Orwellian reality Sweden has embraced, where silence is treated as guilt, and association with dissenters is a punishable offense.

The Facts

In the summer of 2023, Momika and Najem burned Qurans on four occasions: twice near the Stockholm Mosque, once in Rinkeby, and once outside the Kulturhuset in Stockholm.

During these protests, Momika made remarks about Muhammad, calling him a “mentally ill person,” “donkey,” “rapist,” “child-fucker,” and “pimp.”

The Stockholm District Court acknowledges that Najem himself did not say or do these things. Yet they claim that his failure to explicitly condemn Momika’s words makes him “criminally liable.”

Judge Göran Lundahl even justified the ruling by stating:

“Expressing one’s opinion about religion does not give one a free pass to do or say anything without risking offending the group that holds that belief.”

This means Najem is being punished not for any action, but for associating with a man the Swedish government wanted silenced. Sweden, while still making claims about the value of free speech, has begun jailing people for a blasphemy law that does not even exist on the books.

It is now a thought crime—an unspoken rule the public must instinctively obey, with real legal consequences, despite there being no actual law under which to charge people.

Blasphemy is now a crime in Sweden, even by association. Yet, because there is no formal charge for it, there may not even be a legal defense.

This is not just the death of free speech—this is the rise of a judicial system that enforces blasphemy laws without ever admitting to it.

Sweden’s Hypocrisy and Injustice

Let’s not forget: Salwan Momika was murdered last week. His execution was live-streamed for the world to see. The authorities have failed to find his killers, released suspects without explanation, and remain disturbingly quiet about the entire case. Instead of focusing on bringing Momika’s killers to justice, the Swedish government has chosen to prosecute his grieving friend.

According to Najem, he learned of Momika’s death just minutes after the attack. While he tried to reach his friend, he found himself bombarded with over 100 death threats from jihadis. Many of these threats were written in Swedish, warning that Najem would be next.

Despite the clear danger, Swedish authorities have refused to offer him protection. When Najem requested sheltered housing, police rejected his plea, claiming it was unnecessary. This is the same police force that failed to protect Momika—why should Najem trust them now?

In his frustration and grief, Najem spoke out, saying:

“This fucking government has lost control. They only have eyes for money. They completely give a damn about people.”

He further condemned Sweden’s leaders for prioritizing appearances and wealth over the safety of their citizens.

Najem’s fears are well-founded. He predicts that not only will he be next, but others like him, including ex-priest and Quran-burner Jade Sandberg, are also marked for death.

The Details of Najem’s Conviction

Charges: Najem was convicted of four counts of “incitement against an ethnic group” and an additional “contribution offense.”

Penalty: He received a suspended sentence and 80 daily fines of 50 kronor each.

Sweden disguised this as “ethnic incitement” to silence dissent. Prosecutor Daniel Sunesson even admitted that the case wasn’t about Islam but “disrespect toward Muslims as a group.” This proves Sweden is enforcing Islamic blasphemy laws under the false pretense of ‘hate speech’—silencing dissent while pretending to uphold free speech.

The court specifically claimed Najem acted “jointly and in concert” with Momika, even though he did not contribute to the remarks or demonstrations.

The court ignored other statements in the indictment, such as Momika’s claims that “those who follow the Quran are dangerous and have a terrorist mindset,” despite their relevance to the protests.

Perhaps most disturbingly, Najem wasn’t just a participant—he was an organizer. The court used the fact that he applied for protest permits as proof of his “criminal liability.” Sweden is now punishing people not just for speech but for legally organizing protests.

Sweden’s Dangerous Precedent

This ruling sets a chilling precedent. Sweden has essentially adopted the framework of Sharia blasphemy laws, disguised as “incitement against an ethnic group.” The message is clear:

  • Criticize Islam, and you’re a criminal.
  • Stand beside someone who criticizes Islam, and you’re a criminal.
  • Organize a protest against Islam, and you’re a criminal.

And if someone murders you for your speech? The government will prosecute your friends instead of finding your killers.

Even Sweden’s own legal experts are questioning this sham conviction. Freedom of expression expert Nils Funcke criticized the ruling, stating:

“Najem and Momika’s statements are being clumped together, and Najem is being blamed for things that Momika said. We cannot have that when it comes to freedom of expression.”

Yet Sweden ignored its own legal principles and convicted Najem anyway. This was never about justice—it was about appeasing Muslim nations that threatened Sweden after the Quran burnings.

Final Thoughts

Sweden’s government has lost all credibility. They failed to protect Momika, let his killers go, and are now targeting Najem to send a message:

Criticize Islam, and you will be hunted—by jihadists or by the courts.

This is not just a betrayal of Momika and Najem—it is a betrayal of every value Sweden once claimed to uphold.

Sweden has proven they are not just complicit in silencing Islam’s critics—they are active participants. This government is sick, its justice system is a farce, and its leaders are cowards.

How much further will Sweden fall? How much longer will the West tolerate this?

DEMAND JUSTICE. FIGHT BACK. SPEAK OUT.

Salwan Najem and Salwan Momika sacrificed their safety—and their lives—for the truth. We owe it to them not to stay silent.
