Danish-Swedish politician Rasmus Paludan has defied authorities by burning the Quran in Copenhagen’s embassy district in honor of Islam critic Salwan Momika, who was shot dead earlier this week.
On Friday, Paludan applied to hold an anti-Islam demonstration in the city, but Copenhagen police banned it. Undeterred, he ignored the ban and carried out a Quran burning in front of the Turkish embassy—the same act that led to a Turkish court issuing an arrest warrant against him in 2023.
This is to honor Salwan Momika’s sacrifice in his criticism of Islam,” Paludan declared as the Quran burned before him.

Exclusive RAIR Interview with Rasmus Paludan
Earlier this week, RAIR conducted a powerful interview with Paludan, where he revealed the shocking truth about the assassination of Salwan Momika, the West’s growing submission to Sharia, and what this means for freedom of speech worldwide.
In the interview, Paludan shared his thoughts on the complicity of Western governments and their failure to protect those who dare to criticize Islam.
“This was not just an attack on Salwan Momika. It was a chilling message to anyone who values free speech and the rule of law,” Paludan warned.
