Justin Trudeau’s allowance of a dangerous Imam promoting violence against unbelievers poses a severe threat to national security.
In a troubling sermon delivered on May 26, 2023, at the Muslim Youth Victoria Islamic Center, Canadian Imam Younus Kathrada made remarks that have ignited a fierce debate about the nature of Islam, multiculturalism, and the compatibility of certain values within Canadian society. His divisive words, advocating for the hatred of disbelievers, have sparked concerns about the importation of beliefs that contradict Canada’s principles of tolerance and inclusivity.
During his sermon, Imam Kathrada explicitly stated that Allah had commanded Muslims to hate disbelievers. While he emphasized that this hatred does not necessarily indicate violence, his words have raised alarm bells about the potential consequences of promoting such hatred within a diverse nation like Canada.
Drawing a controversial analogy, the Imam attempted to justify his position by comparing the hatred he advocated to an individual’s dislike for broccoli. He argued that hating something does not automatically lead to violent actions against it. However, this analogy fails to acknowledge the significant difference between personal preferences and promoting hostility towards individuals based on their religious or non-religious beliefs.
Imam Kathrada’s sermon took an even more troubling turn when he portrayed disbelievers as living a “life of animals,” driven solely by their lusts and desires. He dehumanized them by comparing them to grazing cattle, unaware of their impending fate in the slaughterhouse of the Hereafter. Such rhetoric perpetuates an “us versus them” mentality, fostering a dangerous devaluation of human life and dignity.
The following video from Friday, December 30, 2022, contradicts his earlier statements by employing terms such as “destroy” and “annihilate” when referring to disbelievers. During his sermon, he explicitly stated that non-Muslims, including Christians, Jews, and atheists, are considered enemies of Allah and, consequently, enemies of Muslims. Disturbingly, he emphasized the importance of imparting this belief to young minds. His incendiary remarks included a plea to Allah for strength for Islam and Muslims, along with a call to humiliate infidels, polytheists and to destroy the enemies of the faith, annihilating heretics and atheists.

A previous video from 2020 featuring Imam Kathrada has shed further light on his controversial statements and rhetoric. In the video, he can be heard fervently praying for the annihilation of individuals who slandered Prophet Muhammad, uttering the words, “Oh Allah, annihilate all those who slandered Prophet Muhammad.” This invocation raises concerns about the promotion of violence and highlights the potential consequences of such Islamic views.
The Imam’s remarks regarding Samuel Paty, the French teacher who was tragically beheaded in 2020, are also deeply troubling. He refers to Mr. Paty as a cursed, evil-spirited, and filthy excuse for a human being, employing derogatory language that exacerbates the already tragic Islamic slaughter of the teacher.

The Imam has repeatedly made other alarming and threatening remarks in various sermons, displaying a pattern of extremist rhetoric. In a sermon on June 24, 2022, at Muslim Youth Victoria, he referred to homosexuality as an “abomination” and invoked the severe punishment faced by the people of Sodom. Additionally, he called for the annihilation of Jews, labeling them as “plundering” and “criminal” while expressing a desire for the return of the Al-Aqsa Mosque to Muslim control.
During a sermon on December 17, 2021, at Muslim Youth Victoria, Kathrada discouraged his audience from congratulating non-Muslims on their Christmas celebrations. He equated congratulating such individuals to endorsing fornicators, murderers, and pedophiles. Instead, he prayed for Allah to humiliate infidels, annihilate atheists, destroy enemies of Islam, and support those engaged in Jihad.
In a sermon titled “War on Islam,” delivered on August 20, 2021, at the Muslim Youth of Victoria Islamic Center, Kathrada made derogatory comments about women’s rights in the West, claiming that they encompassed the right to engage in prostitution, endure abuse, and partake in pornography. He accused Jews and Christians of attempting to lead Muslims astray but declared their failure evident in the American withdrawal from Afghanistan. Kathrada prayed for victory for the mujahideen waging Jihad in Afghanistan and successfully establishing shari’a law.
These consistent patterns of Islamic rhetoric, including calls for violence, denigration of specific groups, and support for radical causes, raise significant concerns about the influence and potential impact of such views within Canadian society.
Why does Canada remain complacent in the face of an Imam who actively promotes violence against unbelievers? How can a tax-exempt Mosque, training the next generation of jihadis, be allowed to operate within Canadian borders? When will the authorities finally take action against Imam Younus Kathrada? Instead of addressing these critical concerns, Justin Trudeau has diverted government resources to target protesters opposing his tyrannical Covid measures or those who choose not to comply with them.
