Muslim parents in England have already exerted their influence by successfully protesting and pressuring schools to modify their LGBTQ curriculum, highlighting Westerners’ fear of angering them.
OTTAWA, Canada— Hundreds of Muslim parents, students, and supporters gathered in Ottawa to voice their fierce opposition to the radical gender ideology taught in the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB). The protests, which began on Friday and continued today, aimed to shed light on what the Muslim community perceives as an infringement upon their religious beliefs and a threat to their children’s well-being. Despite the significant attention these demonstrations garnered, there was a noticeable absence of mainstream media coverage and organized left-wing groups. This deliberate lack of coverage raises speculation about the media’s reluctance to highlight the pushback from the Muslim community, possibly stemming from a fear of insulting or upsetting them due to the potential for violence.
Controversy Over Bathroom Policy
At the heart of the controversy lies the OCDSB’s policy allowing students to use washrooms according to their self-identified gender, regardless of their biological sex. The Muslim protesters argue that such a policy amounts to “reprogramming a child’s identity” and undermines the role of parents in deciding what is best for their children.
Passionate Voices of Concern
Today’s demonstration garnered significant attention, with around 300 participants passionately voicing their concerns. Chants of “leave the kids alone,” “let the parents decide,” and “we know how to teach” reverberated through the crowd, underscoring the depth of their conviction.
Incident Highlights Clash of Policies and Religious Beliefs
One particular incident, shared by Shannon Boschy Douglas on social media, shed light on the immediate trigger for the Tuesday protest. According to Douglas, female Muslim students were labeled as transphobic for feeling uncomfortable with biological boys entering the girls’ changing rooms while their hijabs were temporarily removed, as per custom. This incident exemplified the clash between the OCDSB’s policies and the deeply held religious beliefs of the Muslim community.
Yet another protest against gender ideology in schools. @OCDSB board offices.
This one organized by Muslim students who were told when girls walked in on by boys (while not wearing hijabs) that their concerns were transphobic.

Desire for Faith, Respect, and Protection
The protesters emphasized their desire for their faith to be respected and protected within the education system. Their concerns centered around the perceived erosion of traditional values and the imposition of radical gender ideology on impressionable young minds.
Growing Opposition to Gender Ideology in Canadian Schools
It is worth noting that this is not the first demonstration against the OCDSB’s policies. Last week, a rally organized by “Billboard Chris” Elston and teen activist Josh Alexander, known as the “Education Over Indoctrination” rally, also drew significant attention. This earlier protest saw a diverse range of individuals coming together to address concerns about the teaching of gender ideology in Canadian schools.
Speculation and Demographic Shift in Protesters
Interestingly, while the previous demonstration drew supporters and counter-protesters, today’s protest witnessed a conspicuous absence of mainstream media coverage and organized left-wing groups. This absence has sparked speculation about the underlying reasons for the lack of coverage. Notably, more than 90% of today’s protesters were Muslim, highlighting a significant demographic shift in the objections to the OCDSB’s policies during this protest.
Fear of Labeling and Media Bias
When courageous individuals in the Western world dare to speak the truth about the conflicting values between Islam and Western ideals, they are immediately branded as fascists, Nazis, and “Islamophobes” by left-wing groups and violent extremists. These accusations are further amplified by the mainstreatm media, which conveniently avoids presenting evidence of such attitudes within Islamic scripture, Sharia law, and historical context.
It is consistent that when Muslims express their views on homosexuality, the media conveniently shields these expressions from public scrutiny, revealing a calculated agenda to exploit Islam against classical civilization through information warfare tactics. This agenda includes suppressing the truth about Islam and the genuine perspectives of Western individuals seeking a restoration of classical liberalism.
The Chilling Reminder for Teachers
The tragic fate of French teacher Samuel Patty and other educators, who paid the ultimate price for challenging or deviating from Islamic beliefs, is a chilling reminder for teachers today. This is especially true when broaching topics related to sexuality with Muslim students and particularly when discussing how Islam and its icons should be perceived. Caution must be exercised. History has shown that teachers in Europe who dared to criticize Islam have faced death threats, harassment, and even murder. Therefore, maintaining vigilance is of the utmost importance.
Questioning the Outcome for Canadian Teachers
In light of recent events, one cannot help but wonder about the outcome for the Canadian teacher who admonished a Muslim student, urging them to embrace and respect the LGBTQ community or face the question of their belonging in the country. Will the teacher be met with violent repercussions, echoing the pattern seen across Europe? Muslim parents in England have already demonstrated their influence by successfully protesting and pressuring schools to modify their LGBTQ curriculum.
